Writing Updates
Final Editing Phase of Children of the Stars Update! The last phase of the editing process for Elven Liberation: Children of the Stars is going well! This stage has been a bit more complex due to rearranging chapters. When I first wrote the second book in the Elven Liberation series, Children of the Stars, the flow seemed fine—but after reviewing it with my editor, Karrie Ann, we realized that the opening chapters worked better in a different order. Thank goodness for cut and paste! I can’t imagine what it must have been like for writers before modern writing software. By nature, I’m not the most patient person, and having to rewrite entire pages by hand just to reorder chapters would have been a nightmare. I may grumble about the process, but I definitely recognize how spoiled we are in the 21st century when it comes to fantasy novel writing! I’ll keep you posted as we finalize these last details before publication, which may be in April due to recent unpredicted trials. Thanks again for all your support as this epic fantasy book gets closer to release.

In Memory of Kenny Crandall
With a heavy heart I want to inform my dear readers the reason for the delay of my second book and the lack of updates. On January 18th, 2025 my dear husband, Kenny, died peacefully in his sleep. He was a steady comfort in my life, a warm place to come home to, and someone who made me laugh. His soul is now amongst the stars, but his gentle presence lives on. Epic Fantasy Book Update for Children of the Stars! It’s been a while since my last update, and I want to start with an apology—but rest assured, my fantasy writing journey has not slowed down! My incredible editor, Karrie Ann, recently sent back her edits, and I’ve successfully tackled all those pesky grammar fixes (haha). Beyond that, she provides insightful feedback that truly enhances the flow and depth of the book. Editors don’t get enough credit, and I want to take a moment to say: without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Now that the deep editing process is mostly complete, I’ve handed the manuscript back to her for one final overview to catch any last details. The expected completion date for this final pass is early February 2025, and I’m thrilled to announce that the official publication of Elven Liberation: Children of the Stars is set for March 2025! 
I’ll keep you all updated on these final publishing steps, and I truly appreciate your continued support. Without you, the epic fantasy world of Vex’sar and its characters would be a mere whisper. Thank you for helping bring their story to life!
